Field Trips with the kids

Both kids had field trips recently I was able to go with both of them, which was so fun! Bonnie's was first, her class was going to Jamestown. We got to ride the  bus together from school.

I love getting to go to the Fall field trip in the beginning of the year (I got to chaperone hers last year as well) because I get to know her classmates so when she talks about them throughout the year I actually know who she's talking about.

The kids learned a lot. There are holes (chimneys) at the top of these huts. When the guide asked the kids what they thought the chimney hole was for a couple of them shouted 'Santa!' without hesitation. Love this age.

Bonnie got to go in one of the bunks on one of the ships.

Silly class.

It was a fun morning!

For Riser's field trip we went to Holly Fork Farm.

He got to learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin.

They each got to pick a little pumpkin.

We got to see lots of bees and butterflies pollinating the flowers.

They got to play in a fun corn box, and a playground area.

It was a beautiful day!
