February Things

February is always a busy month for us - especially because it is so short! We finally got some snow.

Mom came down to visit and got lots of smiles from Bonnie.

Bonnie celebrated her first Valentine's Day.

Eric and I celebrated 3 years of marriage.

Katie offered to watch Bonnie for us so we could go see a movie (the first movie we've ever been to together!).

Bonnie was in great hands. And Katie is super mom - she had all 5 kids by herself at bedtime, I don't know how she does it.

With Katie as her example, this one is going to be an amazing babysitter.

And then some other random cute pictures of Bonnie, as usual...

Can't believe this girl will be 4 years old the next time February 29th comes around!

Bonnie is 3 months old!

Bonnie is 3 months old! She won't be weighed again until her 4 month appointment but according to our scale she's around 10.5 pounds. She is still feeding well, eating every 3 hours during the day. One great stride she's made in the last couple weeks is she's down to only one feeding in the middle of the night between the hours of 7 pm - 7 am! She takes around 4-4.5 ounces at a time. Her newborn clothes have officially been put away and she is only in 0-3 month now. A lot of the sleepers and pants are still a little big on her so I imagine she will be in this size for a little while.

We love that she has been sleeping for longer stretches in the night, but it's been getting more and more difficult the last few weeks to actually get her down to sleep at night or for naps during the day. And although her sleep at night has gotten better, her naps have become quite short. She seems to be fighting it more. She has become in general a little more feisty and less laid back. She doesn't seem to be content unless someone is holding her or has full attention on her, which has been difficult to deal with now that I am officially working again (from home). She still deals with a lot of gas which we know is a main cause of discontent, so we are still working on finding ways to help her.

She is getting better at holding her head up and still loves her baby gym/play mat. Most recently she has been loving a play mat my mom brought down that makes sounds when she kicks. It also has a mirror that points toward her feet which she loves staring at. She still doesn't really like swings very much but will tolerate them every once in a while. She is close to being able to be set in the Bumbo but her head still flops over. She loves to be propped up though - she's in that transition of not wanting to be laying down all the time but not able to sit up yet.

She has just recently started cooing more which is pretty cute to hear her actual voice. Her eyes are still looking pretty blue so we're still waiting to see if that changes. Her hair has lightened a little but is still brown. And she is giving us more and more smiles every day (still with a bit of coaxing) which are just the best.

Eric's parents meet Bonnie

Eric's parents finally got a chance to come visit to meet Bonnie recently! It was a much anticipated trip.

They honestly didn't want to do anything but hang out and hold her pretty much the entire visit - we can handle that! Bonnie loves to be held so she enjoyed the extra attention.

She even got to meet her great-grandma (Beba) through FaceTime.

Unfortunately, everyone except Benny's mom ended up getting a 12 hour stomach bug at one point or another over the weekend. So almost every day at least one person was out of commission.

Lots of naps were taken.

We did get a chance to see the glass blowers in Jamestown and take a walk in CW.

Thank you so much for visiting!! Hopefully next time we will all be in better health!
