San Clemente and Taylor's Graduation Party

My cousin Taylor just recently graduated with his electrical engineering degree! Eric and I were excited to go up and visit for his graduation party, and my Aunt Janet was so kind to let us stay in the San Clemente house for the weekend.

Life has been very busy lately so it was really nice to get away for a weekend without having to plan a big trip.

We went out to eat at a favorite spot, the Fisherman's Restaurant. Beautiful scenery on the water and delicious fresh seafood.

We took a walk along the pier and watched the surfers.

It was a little too cold to swim but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying the beach.

Sunday we headed up to Los Angeles for Taylor's graduation party. It was great to catch up with family. It had been years since I had seen my cousin Sean or his wife Katie!

My Aunt Janet and Uncle Terry have a beautiful house with the best outdoor space. Everything always looks so professionally done, but they do it themselves. They make it all look so easy!

The food was incredible, as always. They really know how to throw a good party.

The best part was getting some time to talk with so much family. Uncle Terry told Eric and I about all the projects they have going on, and about the importance of always pushing yourself to learn something new. I even got to sit down with Aunt Janet for a while and have a great conversation with her in the midst of her hostessing.

We had such a great time and love being so much closer to these guys! Thank you Aunt Janet and Uncle Terry, and congratulations Taylor!!

Life Lately

Eric and I will randomly stop at the bay when we're passing by running errands to put our feet in the sand.

One of my ears had closed up months ago so I finally got it re-pierced.

Eric and I went to Coronado beach again - this time with our bikes, which was much easier and more fun!

On the beach I got some good pictures of some Navy planes flying overhead.

We got to hang with Eric's mom and Alison's family for a few days when his mom decided to make a last minute trip out to see everyone.

We got to go out to eat a couple times, including Benihana which was such a treat!

Sienna helped me bake some cookies, and actually ate one for the first time. She loves candy but she doesn't eat cookies - crazy.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Exploring San Diego - Santee Drive-In

Eric and I have discovered one of our new favorite Saturday night activities - the drive-in theater!

We took the seats out of the back of the Tahoe, put an air mattress back there, and packed up all kinds of snacks, drinks, pillows, and blankets.

They actually have humps that you park your car on and it angles your window perfectly for the big screen.

It's a popular place too - families, teenagers, and couples of all ages filled the lot.

They play movies back to back until close to 3 AM so you can stay as long as you want, but you don't have to pay per movie which is great. We saw A Quiet Place and Rampage. It was a hard choice since the theater across from us was playing the new Avengers movie.

We both fell asleep during the second movie and woke up when the credits were rolling. We decided to head home before the next one started.

It was a new experience for both of us and we loved it! We can't wait to go back again soon!

National Park Week

We made a trip to Point Loma over National Park week. It got us dreaming about how great it would be to rent an RV and visit as many parks as we can during the week. That would be such a fun vacation!

We even got to go in the museums that they usually charge for.

And got to try on some armor, it was heavy!

We're so thankful for National Parks, and lucky to have some beautiful ones nearby!
