Meeting Santa

We took the kids to see Santa again this year and he was so great. Bonnie said "I think this is the real one, not a helper!" He was very personable and asked the kids all kinds of questions.

Riser told him he is 3 years old and he wants a snow globe for Christmas.

Bonnie told me she was going to ask him for a snow globe too. But when Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas this year she paused, then looked at him and told him she wanted one of his elves for Christmas (she's been hearing about the elf on the shelf from school). I have to admit, I respect her tactic. She went directly to the big guy and asked for something she knew I wouldn't do. Well played Bonnie, well played.

Golf cart parade

We love our annual neighborhood golf cart parade of lights. The big guy himself comes to visit us on a fire rescue boat and the kids love it. This year we watched it with friends and then had a little movie night after. It was so fun!

Christmas Town

We did Christmas Town this year early in month to kick off the advent season! We went on a Thursday and it was the perfect day for it. We were able to see two shows (Scrooge No More and Twas that Night), we rode the Christmas Town Express to see the lights, did a few rides, and got some hot chocolate. It was a great night!

Bonnie got to ride Invadr for the first time and said she loved it!

Riser's first trip to the dentist

Riser had his first dentist appointment recently. I wasn't sure how he would do sitting still or letting someone clean his teeth, but he did great! And actually thought the whole experience was amusing. Every night since when we're brushing his teeth he likes to lay down in the bathtub and pretend he's at the dentist and I'm the hygienist. Life with him is never boring!

Field trip to Holly Fork Farm

I was so excited to find out I was picked to help chaperone Bonnie's first ever field trip to Holly Fork Farm! We even got to ride the bus together.

The kids got to pick pumpkins, go on a hayride, learn about the lifecycle of pumpkins, and play. It was a great morning and it was so fun to meet everyone in her class!

She has an amazing kindergarten class and it was such a treat to get to tag along.

November extras

November was full of birthdays, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, and much more in between. Here are the extras from the month.

My little dinosaur helping me make pizza. Hanging onto that Halloween spirit as long as he can.

Beautiful fall leaves all around us.

We had our family dinner and got to celebrate all the November birthdays.

Bonnie wanted a rainbow snack. She loved it, Riser wasn't so sure this is what he had in mind.

Bonnie's school photos came back.

We celebrated Friendsgiving with some of our small group.

Shug and Racheal came to visit one weekend.

Bonnie got to go to Rosie's birthday party and was so, so excited. She discovered her new favorite store.

She has always loved to accessorize.

Not sure where he learned the finger point, but it's cracking me up.

Bonnie also got to celebrate the birthday of a sweet friend in her class.

We went to the neighborhood chili cook-off.

Riser got some quality time with Grandma.

And was a real help making Bonnie's cake.

Bonnie continues to craft any chance she gets.

And of course, we started decorating for Christmas.

Praying for peace and joy for everyone in this crazy season that is upon us!
