Walking

Lately Eric and I have been trying to walk a lot more. One day recently we decided to just walk out of our building and see where we ended up. Just past the YMCA there is a little nature preserve with lots of little trails. We often pass quickly by it when we're on our bikes (it's hardly noticeable from the main road), but we get a different perspective when we're on foot. It gives us time to slow down and take in everything around us.

San Diego River behind us.

Once we started getting deeper in to the woods, I stopped taking so many pictures. Truthfully I think that part of these trails have been commandeered by some of the homeless. We didn't spend much time back here, and stayed closer to the main road. But it sure was beautiful.

We weren't too tired out yet so we continued on and walked down to some of the shops near our church. We walked into some places we never would have stopped to look in before.

We've also done a lot of walking around our complex.

Living in a place like this, we don't have to go far to find beautiful places to walk around.

A little random but later that weekend we also got to see my cousins Colby and Mikey! They were working on packing up Mikey's apartment for his move back to Alaska. We sure will miss having him so close.

I hope you all are having a great week and the weather allows you to get out as well!

  1. Can't believe he's moving back! And it's beautiful there! Nice paths nearby..! You should make a Sunday tradition of a new coffee place nearby each week!
