32 weeks with baby #2

I am feeling every bit of 32 (33 tomorrow) weeks. I believe I am officially larger than I ever was with Bonnie. Although at this point in my pregnancy with her, we were only 10 days away from giving birth. It is getting harder to get up from laying down or sitting on the floor with B. Baby is still extremely active. I tested positive for Covid at 31 weeks. Thankfully I didn't have many symptoms after the first day. My 32 week appointment was a week ago and heartrate was still 130. We are now down to appointments every 2 weeks until 36 when I will start going every week.

Now that we are so close to when we gave birth with B, I am feeling the pull to get everything ready. It will still probably be a few weeks before we pack a hospital bag, but we are making progress on some of the larger projects/reorganizing to make room for another human. Bonnie is now actively talking about baby without us even prompting. She will often say "Baby coming. Grandma, Aunt Katie watch Bonnie" and "Baby come out!" It is very sweet.

I am very much looking forward to a baby shower hosted by some sweet friends this weekend - I truly didn't expect one for the second kiddo. We are also very much looking forward to getting away for a night in a few weeks to celebrate our anniversary/valentine's day/my birthday/last hoorah before baby arrives. We are so thankful Katie has offered to watch Bonnie while we spend some time in Charlottesville (surprisingly neither of us have spent hardly any time there). Hopefully we will be having a baby next month!

  1. Oh. my. gosh. I can't believe it! Seriously!! It's so soon!!!! Tell B that Ben and Rosie are planning their sleepover! Also, J is so distressed about B sleeping alone that she couldn't sleep a couple nights ago!
