Girls trip to Round Hill

In the four years our small group has been together, we hadn't done a girls trip yet and felt like this was the summer to try it. Where better to do it than Mom and Dave's house? Most of us got there late Friday night. Saturday we went on a hike to Bear's Den, spent lots of time in the pool, went to Bear Chase for dinner, played some games, and ate lots of food. Sunday we pretty much spent the whole morning on the porch until it was time to go. We are so thankful Mom and Dave let us come take over for the weekend!

Summer trip to Round Hill

Another Summer trip to Round Hill in the books! Mom and Dave's house has been such a wonderful little oasis for us all to convene during these years with young kids and lots of varying needs. They always go above and beyond to host us (I'm sure much less of a vacation for them), but it is so very appreciated. 

We of course spent lots of time in the pool, went to Great Country Farms, celebrated Katie's birthday, played games, sat on the porch, ate delicious meals, and had wonderful quality time together. Doesn't get much better than that!

Bonnie had her first sleepover with the cousins! She lasted until about 9 PM the first attempt, and all the way to 5 AM the second attempt - love these memories they are creating together.

Every one of these kids adore their Grandma, rightfully so.

July extras

July was a very hot month, as usual. Which means if we're going to be outside it's most likely going to involve water. This month saw a lot of pool time, beach time, water table, Water Country, fountains, misters, and any other way we can stay cool. 

We had a visit from Shug, a trip to Busch Gardens with cousins, summer reading program at the library, play dates, Bonnie's first actual cleaning at the dentist, and we finished off the month with family VBS at church! It was a great month!

We've spent countless hours out here this summer.
