Round Hill visit

I took the kids up to mom and Dave's a few days before our bigger family visit to hang while they were watching Ben and Rosie. I think it was a bit more peaceful before we arrived, but my kids had such an incredible time getting some quality time with Ben and Rosie.

There was obviously lots of time spent in the pool, but we also kept pretty busy in the mornings!

This was the first time my kids had been successful having sleepovers with their cousins, and they loved it so much! So many fun new memories were created.

One morning Uncle Eric and I took all the kids to go visit Shug at a playground near him. I brought a picnic lunch for everyone and the playground turned out to be amazing!

Riser was fascinated watching Ben play with the robots and power rangers. He tried to mimic everything Ben would do. Sweet Ben had a lot of patience with him.

We explored a handful of various playgrounds in the mornings.

And got to go to Franklin Park pool one afternoon.

The kids enjoyed running around the property and playing games before bedtime to get their energy out.

It wouldn't be a trip to Round Hill without visiting Great Country Farms.

When Katie and Chris and Eric arrived, we did a walk at Bear's Den.

When Katie and Chris were gone to go pick up the older girls, we took the younger ones to the Ida Lee playground and nearby library. Grandma got some hot dogs from Costco and we had a little picnic in the park.

Once the older girls were home, we got to hear all about their camp stories and songs. My kids still sing some of the songs they taught them that weekend. We also got to celebrate Katie and Eleanor's birthdays.

Sleepover with all 6 kids! Riser was a little too excited and couldn't get to sleep so he didn't last up there, but the rest of the kids had sleepovers the rest of the nights we were there.

The pool is just so much fun with everyone around! We set some great diving records for collecting all 280 gems from the bottom of the pool.

We had such a wonderful time. Our crew is getting bigger and louder each year, but we are so thankful for this time together and so thankful to Grandma and Grandpa Dave for hosting our crazy crew!

Mariners' Museum

We went to the Mariner's Museum in Newport News recently and had a great time. They had a little scavenger hunt for the kids which kept them interested, and they loved it! It had been on my list of places we wanted to check out so I'm glad we finally had the chance to go.
