September extras

September is the start of all the hustle and bustle of school, activities starting back up, sports, and getting back into a routine.

We went on some family walks/hikes.

Bonnie still likes to help in the kitchen where she can.

We have been able to enjoy some one-on-one time together when she finishes rest time while her brother is still sleeping. We normally try to do an activity that is much harder to do when Riser is around. On this particular day we did some of her science experiments that she got for Christmas.

The kids love when I bring home a big empty box from Costco because they can make it into their 'store.' Under Bonnie's little table is also a basket full of food and some bags for her customers.

Mom and Dave stopped by one day when they were in town. She brought trash bags full of plants for our garden and helped us get them planted - so sweet!

We also got to visit them at their campsite and watch the sunset.

Riser and I have had a little more one-on-one time since his sister has been in school, but we stay pretty busy with my moms' group and bible study that it hasn't been as much quality time as I was thinking!

We are still using our ice cream coupons from the summer reading program.

We did some painting outside.

Still repping her Holly Lake Ranch tee from three years ago.

Bonnie has been helping me make bread.

Riser saw Snoop Dogg on a wine bottle, pointed, and said 'Daddy!'

We still go to the neighborhood beach to play in the sand and playground, but only Bonnie has been brave enough recently to actually get in the water. Also the water has been so high!

Riser would rather be buried cozy in the sand.

Bonnie coloring with some friends at church one morning.

Eric gave the kids a science lesson before starting a new rock tumble.

The kids loved playing in the residual rain from hurricane Helene.

We enjoyed taking the boat out.

Bonnie helped me make rice crispie treats.

And helped Benny move some chicken feed to the shed.

We are loving this in-between weather.

This boy has charisma for days. And that twinkle in his eye.

September was a wonderful month! Hello October.
