July extras

This is going to be a long one. I have lots of pictures I didn't get the chance to post from July. I can't believe this Summer is already almost over! July was a busy month.

Lots of cuddles and snuggles. I haven't been in any other stages of parenthood yet, but I'm pretty sure the baby/toddler phase is my favorite.

We have enjoyed the summer reading program at the library.

Including the coupons for free ice cream.

We visited the Virginia Living Museum with friends.

There has been lots of tummy time.

And lots of water-related activities.

Riser has been enjoying sitting up in the Bumbo.

We have spent lots of time with cousins.

Shug came to visit.

We had a tree service come do some work, which provided lots of entertainment for the kids.

We got our free Slurpees on 7/11.

Mom came down to help watch the Stratton kids for a couple days. Grandma is a favorite around here.

We made a scavenger hunt for the kids.

We've had lots of beach time.

Bonnie has also been getting into a lot of sensory toys (kinetic sand, water beads, play-doh).

These two are still best buds.

This little guy has been loving 'standing'.

We had a spaghetti dinner at Katie's pool.

Benny went on a work trip for a week and I got these hoodlums all to myself.

We had a playdate at our house.

And spent lots of afternoons at the beach when Benny was away.

Magna-tiles have been a favorite recently.

You can't have all this Summer heat and beach time without some good afternoon naps.

Our house is straightened up every evening, and by 10 AM the next morning it pretty much always looks like this.

We've been getting good use out of our Water Country/BG pass.

Bonnie loves hunting for rainbows after a Summer storm.

We went to Bluebird Gap Farm with some friends.

We've taken the boat out.

Some friends and I saw For King & Country at Busch Gardens for a girls night.

Some silly pictures of Bonnie:

Met some friends in CW and got a toy airplane stuck in a tree. We also got a bag of wipes and a snack bag stuck in the tree when we were trying to throw things at it to get it down. Thankfully some of the reenactors were sweet enough to help get our things down with their wooden hoop.

Bonnie is realizing the benefits of having a baby brother.

All of us (except Bonnie) got sick for a few days.

We've had lots of fun pulling out new baby gear that Riser can now use.

Bonnie is learning how to use chopsticks.

Told you it would be a long one..!

  1. Okay I love everything about this. First, what a great month. Second, what great pictures. Lastly, the reenactors helping get the stuff out of the tree is hilarious!!!!

  2. Such a great post! A busy month and such fun activities. I have to say - I always thought each stage of childhood was the best. You have so much more wonderful stages ahead of you! It never stops!
