Halloween

Halloween was extra special this year because we got to celebrate with cousins for the first time! The morning of, I had my mom's group so the kids were planning to do a little Halloween parade with their classes. I was glad they were getting a chance to dress up and do something indoors because it was supposed to be cold and rainy all day. They paraded past all the church offices where everyone handed out candy - it was so sweet!

Bonnie was so excited to be dressed up, she told everyone at church to call her Dorothy, not Bonnie. Her brother wasn't as thrilled with his outfit.

Dad and Rachael came down to witness the chaos of Halloween night. Once Eric got off work we turned around and headed toward the Strattons' for some quick hot dogs before trick-or-treating started.

I was very impressed with Bonnie's ability to keep up with her cousins, they are so sweet to her. She kept saying her shoes were magic shoes that made her go so fast. Although after the first hour, she was laying down in the wagon saying she was done with trick-or-treating and ready for bed.

By the time we got home it was so late we didn't have time to go through all the loot, but they enjoyed taking stock of what they got the next day. We had a great time!
