Memorial Day Weekend

Last weekend we went down to Williamsburg to spend part of the long weekend with family! We got to go to Water Country for the first time and had so much fun! It ended up being a little overcast in the morning but made for no lines which was a huge benefit.

These girls are more and more fun every time we get to see them. Eleanor was SO excited at the water park and Jane's personality is really starting to shine through.

We got to go on all the major water slides that normally have really long lines.

Eleanor is so brave and loved going on some of the bigger slides. She may have looked a little unsure on some of them but once she reached the bottom she would having the biggest smile exclaiming "Again, again, again!" It was absolutely adorable.

Even this little girl ended up going on one of the bigger slides with us. She was such a good sport but the first one wore her out and she had a nice long nap afterwards :)

There was some stiff competition between Chris and Benny - they were always the first ones down before the rest of us.

The slide below is one neither Eric or I had ever experienced. They shut you in a tube and then the bottom drops out from under you and down you go. A little nervewracking but so much fun!

And then one that almost felt like free-falling.

The guys had fun spraying little kids passing by on the lazy river.

These two are so cute <3

Waiting at the bottom!

Katie packed a delicious, much-needed lunch for us. We got to a picnic area just in time for the downpour!

After lunch we hit a couple more slides before it was time to go get into some dry clothes.

We played some games and had a little cookout on their screened-in porch, perfect for days like this.

Learning how to shuck corn.

Chris has become quite the grill master - the burgers were so good!

Grandma getting lots of giggles out of Jane.

She loves her mama.

Thank you Katie and Chris for having us - we had a blast! I can't get enough of these people.
