Halloween

The day before Halloween we got together with some friends for an outdoor dinner. It was a chance for the kids to dress up and get together, since trick or treating was up in the air for a lot of people.
It was a lot of fun and actually the first chance our whole small group was able to get together in person since the pandemic.
Later that night we finally carved our pumpkins and roasted pumpkin seeds.

The next day we got to take Bonnie trick-or-treating for the first time! We were excited to see what Halloween was like in our new neighborhood, we had been told it's a pretty big deal around here.

We had a pretty happy snail on our hands.
When all else fails and you don't have a costume, pull out the old Army gear.
Ready to go!
There were lots of fun decorations.

A lot of the houses had goody bags for all the kids and then drinks or food for the adults. Every one got really into it! Although we heard it was very tapered down this year.

There were hayrides, tractor rides, and trailer rides hitched to the back of golf carts.

Our girl worked her magic to score us some good candy too!

It was great to spend time with neighbors and be a part of our first Halloween here!
