Water fun

As soon as the weather started warming up, we started taking full advantage of all the water activities we have available. We spend lots of time at our neighborhood beach, in our backyard with the water table, and this year we also got a pass to Water Country! These photos are a few from the last two months.

Riser's first beach experience, he seemed to enjoy it!

Our beach got a lot of new sand brought in this year. Before it was spread out, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the sand mountains.

We found a little mesh kennel intended for a pet during our neighborhood yard sale. It is perfect for Riser at the beach! The beach can get pretty crowded with kids running all over during the weekends. It's the perfect safe spot to set him where he won't get unintentionally trampled or have sand kicked on him. 

And he is never short on attention at the beach. Our neighbors love any excuse to pick him up, watch over him, or get him to smile. 

And this girl loves to swim with her floaties, but is especially loving digging around in the sand these days.

Memorial Day

A month late - but wanted to post some photos from Memorial Day. We went to Glendale National Cemetery, the same place we went last year. Otherwise the weekend was full of beach time in our neighborhood and grilling!

Visit to Grandma and Dave's

Now that all of our normal weekly activities are on pause, Summer is in full swing! I took the kids up to Mom and Dave's house last week and we had a blast! It was wonderful to have an extra hand with the kids, and get lots of good pool time. 

Bonnie loved playing dress up.

And helping Grandma in the kitchen.

We spent most of our time out by the pool.

B was Grandma's shadow feeding animals and watering the garden.

She is also now very comfortable swimming around with her floaties.

We had delicious home made ice cream every night - this one is mixed berry gelato. 

Eric came over one day. We started (and finished) a puzzle, took a little hike, and of course got in the pool. Dave also made some fantastic pulled pork on his new grill.

It was so nice to have mom's help so I could get time to get cleaned up in the morning or shower at night. We had such a wonderful time! Thank you for having us mom and Dave, can't wait to come back!
