Baltimore

Final post from March...

Our good friends Mike and Ayrton's son, Isaiah was born less than a week after Riser last year. They were throwing a big family party for his first birthday and invited us to stay with them in Maryland for it. We were so excited to see the boys together again!

Riser and Isaiah (Izzy)

We got up there Friday evening. Saturday morning we got up early for a special sunrise visit to the National Aquarium. We got a private tour of the aquarium an hour before it was officially opened to the public and got to feed a lot of the fish. It was so fun!

Hanging at the end of the ropes are 'fish popsicles'. You would hang them in the water for the fish to eat off of but if the puffer fish came near, you had to yank it up really fast (he would take it away in one bite). Eric and Bonnie were the only ones that had theirs eaten by the puffer fish.

After we got back, it was time to prep for Izzy's party. The grandparents loved having extra babies around. Izzy is the first grandchild in their family. They were all so nice and welcoming, and so sweet to include us in their family gathering. Mike's parents were visiting all the way from Washington state.

Bonnie and Riser benefited from Izzy's new toys.

Sunday morning it was time to head home. Bonnie made fast friends with Ayrton and could have stayed much longer. Thankfully we have been able to see each other a couple times a year - until next time!
