Halloween

This year Bonnie actually went trick-or-treating twice! We had a neighborhood friend that moved recently who invited Bonnie to come trick-or-treating at their campground the week before Halloween. She got to dress up as a ballerina (compliments of my mom) and she felt so so special. Riser sat out of this one, as it was a little too late for him. I stayed home and put him to bed while Eric took B.

The Saturday before Halloween we went to our town's little open air market where they encouraged kids to wear their costumes. I had found some homemade wings thrifting a while back and was inspired to make a hat/shoes to go with them. Since our nickname for her has always been Birdy, it seemed a fitting costume (and who knows how much longer I'll be able to sway her to wear what I want her to wear).

The market had an actual turkey we could pet. There was live music and lots of the vendors were passing out candy as well.

This little guy isn't quite big enough to participate in a whole lot yet, but he sure is cute and is happy to just go with the flow of whatever we're doing.

On Halloween day, we met up with Katie, Ben, and Rosie at the library and then trick-or-treated in our neighborhood with some friends.

Benny's annual scarecrow.

The sweetest little cow.

This was the first year Bonnie was running up to the houses on her own and shouting "Trick or treat!" so it was a lot of fun to watch her. We barely even made it to 8pm and she was exhausted when we got home. Riser was a happy little clam the whole time, as usual. Happy Halloween!
