April extras

April was a busy month for us. Outside of the Texas trip, we enjoyed the weather warming up with trips to Busch Gardens, playing outside, a birthday party, and spending time with friends and family. 

Some of Eric's friends from college came through Virginia and stopped at our house for a day.

Bonnie drew her first ever picture of anything resembling something other than a circle or a line - a smiley face with legs and arms!

In the first weeks of Riser walking, he always walked with his right hand up and the left hand out as if he was riding a bull or looking for a tango partner. I knew he would outgrow it soon (which he already has) and I didn't want to forget.

Now that he can walk, Riser went on his first rides - Elmo's Spire, Oscar's Whirly Worms, and the carousel. He didn't really smile but he also didn't hate it. 

He'll smile for food though!

Bonnie is all about the accessories.

Digging and playing in the dirt is still her favorite activity. I have started keeping a bucket and shovel in the back of my car because she will literally find a place to dig anywhere we go.

We got to celebrate a sweet friend turning 5.

Riser has started to love kicking, throwing, and playing 'catch'.

Whenever Bonnie puts on a princess dress, for some reason Riser starts smiling so big and won't stop trying to hug her. He literally will follow her and just put his arms around her. It's literally the sweetest thing.

We have done plenty of walks in CW.

And have enjoyed lots of cousin time. 

It's been a busy Spring so far but we are loving this weather before it gets unbearably hot. On to May!
