Baga and Choo Choo visit

By the time Benny's parents arrived, I was completely done shopping and wrapping presents so I was ready to just slow down and enjoy the time with them. They arrived on a Wednesday and we just took the afternoon to catch up and watch Christmas movies.

We had won 4 Christmastown tickets in a raffle at our church's fall festival, so we were thrilled to be able to take them to Christmastown! We knew it would be crowded so close to Christmas, but I think I underestimated just how crowded it was going to be.

Thankfully, we were able to see a couple shows - Scrooge and 'Twas that Night. We had dinner there and were hoping to do the train ride, but it was so incredibly crowded and late by that point we decided to take the kids home for bed.

Being silly while waiting so patiently to get food.

The next day we took them to the Army transportation museum on Fort Eustis, which they had never been to.

I think this picture is so funny because I didn't realize until I was going through photos that Benny is perfectly positioned and smiling as if he's also in the photo.

That afternoon we spent time playing games and taking a neighborhood ride to look at Christmas lights.

The girl likes to accessorize, and she has spirit.

The day before Christmas eve we went to CW to walk around. I was a little concerned about going on a Saturday after experiencing the crowds at Christmastown, but it wasn't bad at all and the weather was perfect for it.

There was a Santa and an elf handing out little stuffed animals to kids - Bonnie was so excited. She got a rainbow iguana and Riser got Curious George.

Later we started making sugar cookies and relaxed the rest of the night.

Morning cuddles.

Christmas Eve we had a slow morning at home then got ready to head to the 11 AM service.

It was so beautiful, as always. Bonnie was excited to be with us and get to hold a candle this year.

We spent the rest of the day making icing and decorating sugar cookies, going on a walk, making homemade pizza, and getting ready for Santa to come!

Next up - Christmas!
