We recently got the chance to take a tour of our local fire station. We met with one of the firefighters who taught us all about how the station works, the difference between volunteer and career firefighters, and how they eat/sleep there.
We got to see their firepole, which is one of the only two left in the state.
And of course, we got to learn all about the different vehicles.
The kids got to try on some of the gear (Bonnie was not interested in this part).
And we got to see some of the apparatuses in action.
Everyone was so friendly and we learned so much. We are so thankful for our firefighters!
OMG how fun! Ben would have loved this!
